What is the Job About?

Jollofboss by Motty's Gourmet is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-friendly Cashier to join our dynamic team in Abuja. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of financial contact for our customers, ensuring seamless transactions, accurate cash handling, and a welcoming checkout experience that reflects our brand's standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Process Transactions Accurately: Receive and handle cash, card, and digital payments efficiently, ensuring zero financial discrepancies at the point of sale.
• Operate POS Systems: Seamlessly operate the Point of Sale (POS) machine and other payment terminals to process customer purchases quickly and securely.
• Cash Management & Reconciliation: Count physical money with precision, provide correct change to customers, and thoroughly balance the cash register at the beginning and end of every shift.
• Customer Care & Conflict Resolution: Attend to customers warmly and politely, ensuring a pleasant final impression while professionally handling any inquiries or complaints.
• Workspace Maintenance: Keep the cashier’s counter, checkout area, and surrounding workspace clean, tidy, and organized throughout your shift to maintain a professional environment.
• Reporting & Accountability: Maintain clear daily transaction records and report any discrepancies or security concerns immediately to the management team.

Requirements

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a minimum of an HND or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
• Experience Level: Entry-level friendly; no prior experience is required, though candidates with less than one year of relevant experience are welcome to apply.
• Technical Proficiency: Must have practical, hands-on knowledge of how to operate a POS machine and navigate digital transaction platforms.
• Core Competencies: Possess strong customer service skills, basic mathematical and calculation proficiency, high personal integrity, and sharp attention to detail.
• Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills, patience, and a professional demeanor suitable for a fast-paced food service environment.

Salary & Compensation

• Remuneration: The stated take-home salary for this position is ₦120,000 per month.
• Scale Context: The company's general salary range for this role spans between ₦70,000 and ₦150,000, structured based on qualifications and performance appraisals.
